The 9th annual edition of the Executives' Gala was held on April 1 at Ferreira Cafe. For the occasion, 8 business executives brave the heat in the kitchen to prepare a 8-course meal for the evening's guests to benefit the Center for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI). All proceeds went directly to the Haiti Emergency campaign, which is helping to rebuild the country after it was devastated by an earthquake in January.

On June 10, in Lisbon, Portugal, Carlos Ferreira, the founder and owner of Ferreira Café, received the "Empreendedorismo inovador na diáspora portuguesa" (innovative entrepreneurship in the Portuguese diaspora) award, presented to him by the President of the Republic of Portugal. The second edition of the Grande Party Ferreira to benefit the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation was held on June 18. Thanks to the participation of 250 lovers of Mediterranean cuisine, this gourmet fundraising barbecue was able to present a generous cheque in the amount of $75,000 to the Foundation. The 8th annual edition of the Gala des Chefs was held on April 1 at Ferreira Café. For the occasion, six business executives swapped their suits and ties for chefs' aprons, and got to work in the kitchen preparing a 6-course meal for the evening's guests. Thanks to this event, Ferreira Café is proud to be able to add $35,000 to the 13 Years of Generosity fundraising campaign to benefit the Sainte-Justine Hospital Foundation.
